Yep, I'm a high school teacher. It's fun, at least once you get the students
involved...and boy is that hard sometimes. Especially with the classes I teach.
Physics, chemistry, and pre-calculus are hardly what most people consider
engaging. But, yeah, I love teaching high school...it's the best chance to
reach kids and really make a difference in their future. Once you hit college
your preconceptions are so ingrained it's almost impossible for the teachers to
reach the students if they aren't already interested in the subject. As it is,
I get to show all these teenagers just how much fun science and engineering can
be. Of course, I also attend grad school; I hope to get my Ph.D. someday in the
not-too-distant future, since I love doing research too.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by my userpage. Hopefully there'll actually be
something there someday. Hope
to see you around the forums some more.
